Lysander Edwards, a young officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force is assigned as navigator during the first British thousand bomber run. An unfortunate series of events finds him trapped in a world not his own, filled with fantastic creatures seen only in fairytales and dreams, desperate to return to those he left behind.
